Last year, UK post hardcore Ocean Ate Alaska announced on their Facebook that they were going into the studio to record their second album. They also announced that they had parted ways with vocalist James Harrison. On February 1, 2017, the band officially announced their new lead vocalist, Jake Noakes.

So excited to welcome Jake into the Fearless Family performing along side Oceans Ate Alaska as their new vocalist!

OUR NEW VOCALIST is our very close personal friend and incredibly talented singer/screamer Jake Noakes from the UK! It’s our honour to be performing along side of him from here on out, he’s an absolute monster!

We are also very excited to inform you that the new album now is fully recorded and sounds INSANELY SICK! Without doubt this record is going to melt some faces. Anyway, everyone go give Jake a big warm welcome to the OAA family, and get stoked for some killer new tunes

About Ocean Ate Alaska:

Stemming from Birmingham, UK, the furious five-piece Oceans Ate Alaska is made up of Jake Noakes (Vocals), James Kennedy (Guitar), Adam Zytkiewicz (Guitar), Mike Stanton (Bass), and Chris Turner (Drums). The band offers a progressive strain of experimental modern metalcore that has gotten the band noticed as one of metal’s most exciting and fresh young names. With music as unpredictable as it is expressive, the band found inspiration for their name from the world’s largest recorded mega-tsunami – measuring at 1,700 feet high – that demolished Alaska’s coastline in 1958. The band was attracted to the natural disaster’s national headline that read “Oceans Ate Alaska” where they decided to carry the name on a path to make their own history.

By pushing sonic boundaries, Oceans Ate Alaska aim to take listeners on an emotional journey through unpredictable arrangements (both heavy and melodic), ruthless riffs, and unforgiving gutteral vocals; setting an atmospheric landscape that showcases the band’s technical skill.

Their studio¬†album ‘Lost Isles’ was released in 2015 via Fearless Records.
