Chevelle meruapakan band yang dibentuk oleh 3 kakak beradik, Joe, Sam, dan Pete Loeffler. Namun ditahun 2006, salah satu dari mereka, Joe Loefler (bass) memutuskan keluar dan diganti oleh Dean Bernardini.
