What this album and the previous album means to me is that All that Remains is trying to branch out and transform their music into different genres. As a guy that isn’t knowledgable in music and only knows what he’s listened to, I see this as a good thing because musicians need to be able to adapt and change their music. If not, they’re going to be making the same albums over and over again, and that will make the genre boring.

It’s one thing to say you don’t like the song or the album, everyone’s always entitled to their opinion. But when you openly say it’s terrible and that the band is losing their way and that they should go back to their roots, that strikes me as a very uninformed and bitter opinion which should only be reserved for legitimate critics and other musicians that have practiced the art and know the defining good and bad qualities of a song. ATR should continue trying new things rather than membering the good days. How is the genre going to evolve if everyone is stuck in the past?

See that’s a constructive critique as to why someone would say they’re not as good as they used to be. Madness was as nice song but the lyrics were repetitive. – Frederick
