Happy new year… let’s start with a pop punk song. Here we go, alternative rock band Vaultry new music video “Ghost Writing”

This song from album “Eulogy” out January 12, 2017.

Song lyrics: Vaultry – Ghost Writing

Won’t you tell me again, how my heart’s in the right place,
When it feels so lost, and my chest feels vacant.
So hang a sheet on me, to hide my loneliness,
Call me a ghost, because I am transparent

The marble floor is colder than I remember,
And I tremble in that memory

If you stay we could stare at the ceiling,
While we wait for it to fall and blanket us

Won’t you tell me again, how my heart’s in the right place,
When it feels so lost, and my chest feels vacant.
So hang a sheet on me, to hide my loneliness,
Call me a ghost, because I am transparent

We’re lost in the walls of our ribs
Trying to find our way back
We’re wandering, like ghosts writing their wills.

Were we walking in circles (in circles)?
Dead and broken retracing all our steps
Were we meant to be hurtful (hurtful)?
Or spend our lives to replace the emptiness

That same ceiling is farther than I remember,
And that makes me tremble

We’re lost in the walls of our ribs
Sadly staring at the marble floor where our bodies lay forgotten,
Even though everyone is there.

Won’t you tell me again, how my heart’s in the right place,
when it feels so lost, and my chest feels vacant.
So hang a sheet on me, to hide my loneliness,
Call me a ghost, because I am transparent

Were we walking in circles (in circles)?
Dead and broken retracing all our steps
Were we meant to be hurtful (hurtful)?
Or spend our lives to replace the emptiness

About Vaultry

It’s very rare that a group of musicians gets together and pursues a vision that is as focused as VAULTRY’s brooding, emotional, and melodic sound. This Victoria, BC based Alternative Rock band is influenced by a diverse group of films, artists, and works of literature and try to reflect their sound as not only a piece of music, but a work of art. The five piece prides itself on its atmospheric textures, passionate vocals, and relentless rhythm and drum sections. The band began its sound with a mix of Metalcore, Melodic Hardcore, Ambient, and Emo, but have evolved to have a majority of clean vocals, emotional hooks, and a giant sound. After forming in 2014, the band released their debut EP ‘Coven’ in late 2015 and began gathering an expansive and dedicated fan base both locally and internationally. VAULTRY has performed locally around Vancouver Island and plans to tour Across Canada in Spring 2017. The band has a strong belief in community and treats every fan like they are part of the VAULTRY family.

VAULTRY completed work on their debut full-length in dedication to their late guitarist, Chasen Fraser, in October 2016 and plans to release on January 12th 2017.

“It really is hard to feel human, and Vaultry are shouting for each lost person to reflect on what they’ve become in this regard.

– Dustin Ragucos, Ride The Tempo

“the emotionally captivating deliverance from Hynds has truly brought out the best in these songs and really made the music work in every moment. Both in effort to keep up, and full-on catching the inspiration of the passionate approach – every member in Vaultry pulls a massive amount of heavy weight successfully – the Coven EP packs a massive punch and delivers your ears the impact they deserve.”

– Sleepingbagstudios

“Punchy melodies and brooding lyricism dominate the four-track effort, though it’s the spoken word aspect that provides an emotionally-charged edge.”

– The Permanent Rain Press

“Vaultry is off to a good start with Coven but hopefully it just hints at their potential”

– Ted Rogen, No More Division

“whether it’s in an echoing venue or a tight-packed community room, vaultry brings a sound to hit you in the chest. with monolithic guitar riffs, gut-wrenching vocals and an impeccable beat, Vaultry is a must-see in any form.”
