Biffy Clyro telah mengumumkan bahwa tahun 2015 merupakan “year off” mereka. Dalam sebuah wawancara di 3FM pada bulan Juni 2014, Neil menyatakan bahwa mereka akan rehat dan menghilang bagai ditelan bumi.
“[the band] will take a quiet year next year and disappear so people don’t get sick of the lovely Biffy.”
Dan secara mengejutkan, pada tanggal 21 Maret 2016, Biffy Clyro merilis single baru berjudul “Wolves of Winter” yang merupakan track perdana untuk album comeback mereka “Ellipsis” rilis 8 Juli 2016.
